To further confuse this issue, the plugin did authorize on a different USB on another computer. I suspect it won't and then tell me I need to purchase the license, confirming my suspicion that the authorization didn't work (even though it completed without error).
DEVICE ID WAVES KEYGEN FULL
Basically, I have to wait 9 more days to see if the product I purchased and "correctly" authorized will switch over to a full license. And then hopefully not during a mix session. The "trial" message does not appear to go away in all cases, even after the product's been purchased. Basically, you have to write it down on paper, so that you can see what's going on. There's no way to see which plugins are authorized on which device, by device. There's no way to see how many deactivation you have left. I would suppose begging to reset those deactivations is all one can hope for. I've already burned several deactivations out of the fixed number we're given, and at this pace (no pun intended), I'll have lost the use of my plugins, and investment, soon.
DEVICE ID WAVES KEYGEN UPGRADE
The "online" method will simply auth the machine, even when the USB device is selected in the drop-down (on DAWs that allow it to even be visible) exactly what I'm trying to move away from as I'm about to upgrade it. Worse, it leaves me in a situation where I have to force quit my DAWs hidden dialogs, dialogs with messed up text, invisible checkboxes and overlapping, unselectable drop-down areas, dialogs that won't go away, won't allow focus and can't be clicked away. I've been trying for several years to convert one of my DAWs to USB auth, but it just won't do it. Plugin Alliance authorization is the must frustrating system available right now.
